Skinner from Psych 101?). \u00a0I \u2018discovered \u2018 clicker training about 15 years ago and never looked back. Same for positive reinforcement based training. \u00a0I have attended and participated in many training workshops over the years and continue to do this. This helps me to keep my knowledge and skills up to date. \u00a0<br> \u00a0<br>To me, dog training is all about effective communication with another species. \u00a0My ideas of fun: \u00a0Helping an out-of-control \u2018crazy\u2019 dog become a polite and cooperative family member; Helping a shy or fearful dog grow into a more confident and social companion.<br> \u00a0<br>I tailor my lessons to the levels of my clients (both canine and human). \u00a0Initially, we focus on learning basic foundation skills such as House-training, Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Drop, Leave It and polite leash walking. I love working with shy and fearful dogs. \u00a0<br> \u00a0<br>In addition to my private l<\/strong>e<strong>ssons, I volunteer at the Humane Society of Westchester and have been doing that for about 15 years. \u00a0I am one of the volunteer trainers at the shelter.
